Ariived at around 11.15am to find the demo just setting up and Al and Steve already out blasting up and down the channel.

Took a quick look at the demo kit and wanted to try out a JP FreeStyle Wave 84 but as everyone was frantically rigging sails I just got my own kit out and got in there.

I sailed my recently acquired Arrows Impact 5.0m and after a while setting up the harnes lines and out haul became comfortable in the conditions.

Just planned up and down the channel. It got quite busy out there. After a while I started going for my gybes on starboard then sailed upwind on port to the sand bank. I made one gybe and thought ok done that before but not bad. Then I made then next one, and another and another, five or six, whoohoo... Some nice very fast runs and fast entries into the gybe, tried strap to strap today but without actually getting into the strap at the end. Also made some carving tacks to get back upwind to get in...

Like the 5.0m Impact a lot, and a very nice little session in the channel :-) Happy days!
